Footstep 1:

Complete a Handgun License Awarding online at the Indiana State Police Handgun Licensing Portal. Brainstorm Your Awarding Online

Attention: Due to the high book of applications, you may feel delays in accessing the firearms application portal.

Pace 2:

Schedule an engagement to submit your fingerprints electronically at a location convenient to you lot.  If you lot have any questions or concerns, please contact your local law enforcement agency.

Fingerprinting Locations

Attending: Due to the high volume in application submissions, you may experience delays in scheduling your fingerprint engagement online. If you lot are experiencing trouble scheduling a fingerprint appointment for your firearms permit or have a complaint almost the firearms permit fingerprint process please phone call the Indiana Department of Administration at one-877-472-6917

Footstep 3:

Complete local law enforcement (sheriff or municipal police) agency processing inside 180 days.

Last Steps ... Visit Your Local Law Agency

After you complete Step 1, you lot will take only 180 days to complete Steps two and three. Once all of the above steps are completed, your application volition be electronically transmitted to ISP for terminal review.

If your awarding is approved, your permit volition be sent to y'all via U.S. Mail.

If your application is rejected, you volition be notified via U.S. Mail and will receive instructions on how to file an appeal.
